‘Beauty In Our Diversity’

Outreach Programs

Spiritual Hangouts:  Monthly spiritual workshops

African Child U Can (ACUC):  Annual motivational theatre outreach program

Save the Crèche:  Improving the lives of the children

Beauty In Our Diversity:  A musical based on the South African President’s speech, ‘I Am An African’.  It celebrates our history and our achievements.  It is both educational and informative.

With HIV/Aids and drug abuse ravaging our future leaders, Amajika uses all possible means to help society rise above these challenges.  Through spiritual and cultural programs, we use Art as a tool to raise awareness and positive vibrations to help combat these monsters..

In-House

Live Stage Performances:  Our senior students are involved in planning, managing and giving live performances as a group.

Studio Music Productions:  Our senior students are involved in all recording aspects.

Academic:  Language is taught to enable our students to communicate to a universal audience.

Business Program:  This program is crucial for the preparation of The Amajika Farm International Arts School.

These four programs ensure that our team are grounded and constantly developing as individuals and as an effective team.

African Artist Action (AAA):  Artists impart their skills by shadowing, mentoring and guiding students through workshops, motivational speeches and the use of the Amajika manual - My Guide in the Arts.

Gogo’s Crafts:  As part of our cultural heritage, old people teach bead work and a variety of African crafts while telling stories.  These enriching activities help us connect with our core values in a bid to bridge the gap.

International volunteers from USA-Michigan & New York University, Zimbabwe, Uganda, Malawi, Morocco, Zambia and other countries lend their support and energy to our work.  Amajika has enjoyed national and international exposure.  Our team have toured to Germany, Italy, Virginia-U.S.A, Ghana, Portugal, Finland, Denmark, Israel , and Norway.

BRIDGING THE GAP

Bridge the gap

  • The ACUC program ensures that there is continuous training so that every school is open to change and positive about its future.
  • The AAA program brings the old and the young together to entrench and nurture good moral standards and values.
  • The program develops one's personal skills, encourages the development of others' skills, and bridges the gap between the old and new generation.  Through all of this, the respect and dignity of our cultural heritage can be restored and celebrated.
